Ash Wednesday Service

March 1st

7:00 PM

Special Music by the

Chancel Choir

FCC Youth

Since there is an Ash Wednesday Service on Wednesday evening, March 1st, the youth will meet in the JCAC at 6:30 to have a time of worship, and receive the forms for Camp Sunday.
On Sunday evening, March 5th, The Youth will have a small group discussion and a fun activity.

Elevation Trip:
On Sunday Evening, March 19th, The youth will meet at the JCAC to have a fun trip to Elevation Jump park in Moore. We will jump for an hour at Elevation and then head back! Prices are $11 per jumper plus tax, so please make sure your students bring those funds so they can jump and have a blast! It does not cost anything to come watch if you would like to join your students and don’t plan on jumping.

Wednesday Night Meal Sign-Ups:
On Sunday Morning, March 5th, There will be a sign-up sheet in the narthex for our Wednesday night meals. The Wednesday night meals are one of the great services that our congregation provides for the Youth. Having fellowship together before we have worship and a lesson is a great way for the group to join and be in unison before we kick off. Thank you so much for all those that have served and will continue to serve this group.

-Dustin

If you have any students that would potentially be interested in youth group, please contact Dustin at 918-637-4407. He would love to reach out to try to include them in the bunch, thanks!

Camp Sunday!

We will be having “Camp Sunday” on March 5th. This will be a time for us to collect all of the paper work and payment for all summer camps. Please come prepared to fill out the following forms:• A Health Form
• Over the Counter Medication Form
• A Consent/Release Form
• Camper Covenant
• (For Campers attending Chi Rho camp) An additional release form

In addition to these forms, there will be a form to fill out on MYFCC.

These forms will be passed out to our youth students on March 1st and we will have plenty of copies available on Camp Sunday (March 5th). We want to have everyone completely fill out a hard copy of this information on for our records. If your student isn’t and youth, and you would like a form, please email Dustin.

Naturally, the prices for camp have increased this year. Thankfully, we will register during the “discounted rate” time period, and we are extremely blessed with a church body that is willing to pay half the cost per student to attend. Below, you will find the cost for the regular rate, the discounted rate, and the cost of the price charged for each student after considering our church’s 50% contribution:

Regular Rates:
Chi Rho- $410
CYF- $372
Discover-$250
Junior Camp- $390

Discounted Rates:
Chi Rho-$390
CYF-$372
Discovery-$234
Junior Camp-$370

Price after Church Contribution:
Chi Rho-$195
CYF-$186
Discovery -$117
Junior Camp-$185

*Please note if there are any late additions, they may be subject to paying the full rate if it is after the discounted price deadline
(April 18th)

FROM THE LIBRARY…

Interested in the history of your church? Or, needing to find the answer to a specific question about The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)? Then, you will certainly want to see the new book which will be coming to our church library soon:

The Encyclopedia of the Stone-Campbell Movement
(edited by Foster, Dunnavant, Blowers, and Williams)

You will probably not want to actually read the 854-page book very soon, but you will probably want to peruse it or find information about your special area of interest. We are delighted to have this very important book.

The 2017 Church Directory is ready to be picked up.
They are located in the narthex, alphabetized by last name. If you do not find your name, there are extra copies in the box.

Opportunity For Our
Church Veterans

Pete Tucker is one who is setting a wonderful example for us of what it is to do ministry beyond our church walls. Each week Pete travels to Norman   to help veterans accurately review and receive their disability benefits. He volunteers his services as part of a non-profit veteran’s organization, The Dale K. Graham Veterans Foundation. Pete has also worked to help multiple members of our church who unknowingly were not receiving their full benefits. These financial benefits are helpful to the veterans and of equal importance, to their families.

Pete will be in our church on Wednesday mornings beginning March 22nd from 9-11 AM and will meet with veterans on a first come first serve basis. We are blessed and fortunate to have him offering this opportunity for our veterans.

Please be sure to bring your DD-214.
