Hello, my name is Shauna Becker. I am the daughter of Bryan and Becky Searcy & the niece of Leo & Karen Holland. I grew up in this church and I am one of your many Timothy‘s.
I have been happily married to Tim Becker for 25 years. He is a wonderful husband & father to our three sons. Tim manages the SuperTarget in Edmond. He is the seventh of eight children from Cuba City, WI. Tim has a very close family & I’m greatly blessed to be a Becker!
Our oldest son Bryan is a sophomore at UCO studying interpersonal communications. He hopes to attend seminary after graduation. Bryan is currently the minister for the college revival group for FCC Edmond.
Blake, our middle son, is a senior at Jones high school. He is senior class president and is active in student council and key club. Blake plans to attend UCO next fall.
Brock, our youngest son, has a great passion for history and tradition. His love for this congregation will stay with him all of his life. Brock attends Jones High School where he is Freshmen class president. Brock is active in key club and politics club.
It is a great pleasure to come home and share this last Sunday of 2018 with you. The love of Christ, given to my family through this congregation, has nurtured us for over 45 years.
We are so grateful for your generous love!

Rev. Larry B. Metzger
FCC MWC, Interim Minister
I grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. Our church was the Clifton Christian Church, an independent church that broke from the Disciples some years before I knew about such things. We lived 3 doors from the church. My calling was sensed at about age 12 and I was an active member until I went to college. In college I was a music major and took a position as the Baritone soloist in the Douglas Boulevard Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) choir.
I was majoring in conducting and choral composition. However, the Vietnam War got in the way and it was over 5 years before I got back to my education. I graduated from the University of Louisville in psychology.
The next week I was at the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and was back as the Baritone soloist at Douglas Boulevard Christian Church and then became the Student Associate. After 3 years of study and 2 units of clinical work I graduated with an MDiv with concentration in Pastoral Care. I have been an adjunct at Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, and Lexington Theological Seminary in Kentucky. I did additional work towards a DMin in worship but did not finish. I was 6 hours short (thesis) or as we call it, ABT (all but thesis). My pastimes are playing keyboards, composing music, woodworking and making databases.
I am married to Kathy who is from Tulsa, Oklahoma and is a marriage and family therapist with the Ponca City Board of Education. Between us we have 3 children: 2 daughters in Lexington, Kentucky and a son in Louisville Kentucky and 4 grandchildren.
