A Word from Mike…

Genesis 9.13     I have set my bow in the clouds, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

Two weekends ago, on my long weekend back to Missouri, I encountered multiple rain storms.  Between storms, I arrived at my hotel, exhausted, and gathered my luggage to check-in.  As I closed the door to my car, my eye caught a glimpse of a rainbow shining out of a puddle on the ground.   The End.

Okay, maybe not “The End.”  No preacher stops after three sentences!  If I did stop, however, you would likely already follow the track my mind took.  The beauty in the design of God’s nature sending me a warm fuzzy in something as simple as a puddle.  Not a glorious technicolor bow painted across the sky – which can be amazing enough, but a small unexpected reminder which equally commanded my attention.

God’s reminder of covenant.  God’s reminder of a promise.  God’s message of love, care and investment.  Another scripture that has been foundational for me over the years is  Jeremiah 29.11, For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.

May God bless you with unexpected reminders of God’s covenant and hope for you!

Thanks for sharing the journey

Chain Reaction Ministries serves God by serving the least and the last among God’s children. We repair and give away donated bicycles to those in need so they can have life-changing transportation. To that end, we have given away over 2,850 bikes.

God continues to work his miracle!

God continues to work his miracle through Chain Reaction Ministries. Chain Reaction has given away 2,860 plus bicycles to date. By the time the next newsletter is published, we will have exceeded 2,900 bikes. All this is possible because of the effort of so many people. Most of them have never met. There are the thousands of people that have blessed us with
donated bicycles. There are the mechanics that have worked on and prepared bikes.
A special thank you to Al Webb, owner of Al’s Bicycles, who supplies us the bike parts. And, there are those social service agencies that have referred to us those who are in need of transportation. There are also those that are working and need a way to get to work so that they can maintain their employment. Some of which have come to us by word of mouth. We have received hundreds of “thank you” letters from those that have had life changing experiences due to having received a bicycle from Chain Reaction. God’s hand is in each and every one that has become a part of this, his ministry. May God continue to bless all who are a part of Chain Reaction Ministries as we continue to minister to the needs of the least of God’s children.

May God continue to bless all those that have given and continue to donate bicycles to this ministry. We have an ever increasing demand for adult bicycles as this ministry continues to grow. If you, your neighbors, your friends, or your family members have any adult bikes that can be donated, please call the church at 405-525-6551 or my cell phone at 405-479-3809.
