A Word From Mike…

Psalm 127.3    Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.

WOW!!!

The prayers, songs, children’s message, words of invitation and wisdom…what a fabulous Youth Sunday!!  Not are we only incredibly blessed, Sunday was a witness to how blessed our youth have been by their families and by this congregation.  What a fabulous group!!

Matt Moler gave as fine of a Youth Sunday sermon as I have ever heard.  He took time to recognize each family member and honor the memory of Michael, as well.  Matt also preached a powerful message about sharing blessings and the growth of his faith journey.

Seeing all of those youth gathered together in front of the communion table to lead
singing made my heart swell.  The challenge of singing without hymnals was greatly aided by Shelby Rubino’s smooth work at the computer/projector.

I want to thank Dustin, Neil and all others who helped with the service for giving us such a meaningful and authentic worship experience.

Thanks for sharing the journey,
Mike

Thank You to All on our 50th –

Becky and I thank everyone who came to our 50th Anniversary party, sent cards and expressions of congratulations, took pictures and made our celebration special in so many ways. We especially thank our children Shauna Becker, Darin Searcy, their spouses, children and all our friends who provided a feast of great food and the beautiful decorations that made our evening one to remember the rest of our lives. We were able to visit with family and old friends that we don’t get to see often enough and many of whom were at our wedding May 31, 1968; and with our Midwest City FCC church family where we have shared in worship, love and service since 1972.

Thank you all for a wonderful evening of celebration, fun and fellowship. We have been and
continue to be blessed by a church family whose love of Christ shines out of each one as we serve and celebrate together.

Love in Christ,
Bryan and Becky Searcy
