A Word From Mike…

Psalm 150     Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty firmament!  2Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his surpassing greatness! 3Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! 4Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! 5Praise him with clanging cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! 6Let everything that breathes praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!

What a wonderful dedication concert Hunter Birkhead organized to celebrate our grand piano!! The sanctuary was packed and the room was bursting at the seams with energy!  Based on the dancing fingers on the keyboard I am confident Wally Brown, David Robillard and Jean Shackleton enjoyed a well-deserved Sunday nap.  We were also blessed with the gift of voice shared by Hunter and Julie Moler; a gift they share with us on a regular basis.

As intangible as God may appear at times, how wonderful to see the tangible ways God reaches out to help us feel a Godly connection through:  Beautiful music, the arrival of the colors of spring, the gift of friends who come to worship and celebrate with one another.  As the Psalm indicates, such gifts force us to pause, and intentionally praise the Lord.  God has blessed us as individuals and as a congregation in SO many different ways.  Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Thanks for sharing the journey,

 FCC Youth

There, we will have the projector set up to play a couple of videos about the mission trip as well as have the youth serve the potatoes to anyone that comes!

Opportunity For Our
Church Veterans

Pete Tucker is one who is setting a wonderful example for us of what it is to do ministry beyond our church walls. Each week Pete travels to Norman   to help veterans accurately review and receive their disability benefits. He volunteers his services as part of a non-profit veteran’s organization, The Dale K. Graham Veterans Foundation. Pete has also worked to help multiple members of our church who unknowingly were not receiving their full benefits. These financial benefits are helpful to the veterans and of equal importance, to their families.

Pete will be in our church on Wednesday mornings beginning March 22nd from 9-11 AM and will meet with veterans on a first come first serve basis. We are blessed and fortunate to have him offering this opportunity for our veterans.

Please be sure to bring your DD-214.
