FCC Youth

On Wednesday Evening, November 1st, There will be Wednesday night Youth Group with worship music, a lesson called “Walking out your faith”, and the students will participate in Communion to end the service. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and the lesson will start at 6:30. If possible, please try to arrive on time. We do many activities on Wednesday nights, and I want to make sure that the students get the full experience before the 8:00 p.m. pick up time.

On Sunday Evening, November 5th, We will be meeting at 5 p.m. to have a discussion and have a fun activity.

Koinonia:

CYF students that are attending Koinonia on November 11th, We will leave from the church at 9 a.m. in the morning. Here is the itinerary for the weekend retreat:

On October 8th, the Board met and made an small amendment to the church’s By Laws. That amendment is found in Section III, paragraph C.3. The last line is amended as follows:

Furthermore, directors shall “NORMALLY” serve no more than three (3) consecutive years.

The revised document has been added to FILES in MY FCC. You may also contact the church office for a copy.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Wednesday,
November 15th

6:00 PM in the JCAC

There will be a charge
of $5 per person.
Children 5 and under eat free.

Turkey, Ham, Dressing, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Rolls, Cranberry Sauce, Tea and Water will be provided by the church.

There is a sign up sheet in the Narthex for attendees, as well as a poster to sign up to bring pot-luck dishes.

Items needed are salads, vegetable dishes, casseroles or dessert.

CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM

Rehearsal for the Children’s Christmas Program will begin this Sunday,
November 5th from 5-6 PM in the sanctuary.

We will meet every Sunday until the program on December 10th.

All ages are welcome to join in!


FOOD DRIVE
NOVEMBER 12 -19

It’s time for our annual food drive to benefit the Mid-Del Food Pantry. There will be a collection box in the Narthex.

Please bring nonperishable items by Sunday, November 19. The food will be delivered before Thanksgiving to help others during the upcoming holidays.

Service Project for the VA Medical Center OKC

 CWF will begin collecting personal items and monetary donations for the Veterans Hospital in OKC. Items may be dropped off in the collection box located in the Narthex.

COUNTDOWN TO CFO

FCC of MWC will participate with MWBCC and other area churches to provide Christmas to 72 families in Eastern Oklahoma County.

This year’s date is 12/9/17 – ONLY 6 short weeks away!

What can you do now….clip pet food coupons and bring them to church, gather gently used household items or winter clothes to donate, and bring them to the JCAC or drop them off at Midwest Blvd CC.
