A Word From Mike…

Prepare the way…

Famously sung in Godspell how are we preparing the way for the Lord?

For “us” the focus of Christmas is holiday full of carols, Santa, stressed out bathroom scales and Jesus in a manger.  Eastern churches often place emphasis on Epiphany.  Some Hispanic traditions in other parts of the world highlight the “Three Kings” more.  Each of these still with the aspects of preparation and celebrated achievement.

What is your biggest goal for Christmas 2017?  When you lay your head down at the end of the day on December 25th, what will make your rest in peace?  What will you need to do to prepare yourself at the start of each day of advent to find that goal and peace?

Thanks for sharing the journey,

FCC Youth
