First, let me say a huge thank you to everyone for helping and coming out for the 75th Anniversary! Didn’t Bev Rubino do an awesome job?! Thank you to everyone that helped make the day possible!

A few weeks ago, I was asked to lead the Search Committee for our new Youth Minister and accepted that task. I’d like to provide an update on where we stand and some of the discussions we’ve had in forming where we are and where we will go.

On that same day, a group of us met with the Regional Pastor, Pam Holt, regarding the Youth and the Senior positions. After that meeting, we discussed potential names to form both search committees. Given that we may be months away from squaring away the Senior position, we decided that it was imperative for our Youth to proceed with their search now. Thankfully, we got a “yes” from all of our potential committee members, who are as follows: Logan Davis, Beverly Rubino, Molly Updegraff, and Wendy Walters.

We’re still finalizing details regarding the job description and salary. We hope to have those items lined out sometime this week and will have things ready to submit to the
region for the Search and Call. Once we receive profiles from the region, I’ll ask each of the committee members to review them and we’ll decide who we want to interview. Pending board approval, we would then extend an offer for a start date as soon as
possible.

If you have any questions, please give me a call.

It’s That Time!

Set your clocks back one hour Saturday night, November 3rd!

The Regional Youth Council has a great retreat weekend planned for your group. Today is a great day to register your Chi Rho and or CYF student for Qahal/Koinonia, Nov 9-11. This is the last Regional youth gathering of the year!

Rev. Dr. Lisa Davison will keynote the weekend and we will blend play, worship, study, and music to create sacred space at Oakridge Camp. $95 per person for the weekend includes housing, meals, snack, event t-shirt, and good, good times. Don’t miss it! Our church will cover half of the cost ($47.50)!

Contact Julie Moler if you are interested in going.

Thank you EVERYONE that pitched in to help make Halo-ween a success. All of us in the Christian Education department want to thank you for the donations for the cake walk, the volunteers that helped set up, work games and craft tables, hand out candy, work in the kitchen, helped prepare crafts, donated craft supplies, candy and prizes and all the people that helped clean up. We truly could never put together an event like this without each and every one of you.
We appreciate you so much!
