Gary This link will take you directly to YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/FirstCCMWCOK ————————————– YOUTH NEWS… The youth group had fun in the sun with a water gun! Saturday evening the youth group gathered for some water gun activities at Choctaw Creek Park. We had fun getting to play together. As we begin to ease back into having activities together it gets more and more difficult to stay 6’ apart. I’m so proud of the kids for their willingness to follow instruction, even when it’s hard. This is an amazing group of young people and they make it so easy to love them. Wednesday evening 6/03/20 at 6 pm the youth group will be having a scavenger hunt in their own homes. This will be a race and the items must be shown to me on zoom once the entire list is completed or the time limit has been reached. Everyone’s time of completion will be documented & I will confirm each item. There will be a time limit of 20 minutes. Each item on the list that is collected will be worth 1 , 2 or 3 points. You will not know the point values until the end of the game. The person with the best time will be given a 3 point bonus. The most creative will receive a 3 point bonus & the funniest will receive a 3 point bonus. (creative and funny will not be the same person) This Sunday was the first time, in a long time, to have a Sunday Worship service on Sunday morning. We have been recording earlier in the week to allow for social distancing. There is something very special about Sunday mornings. Maybe it’s a lifetime of having Sunday mornings with God and our loving church family? Whatever it is, it’s a pleasure to have our worship service on Sundays again. It makes me realize how anxious I am to have Sunday school and other church gatherings again. However, I’m also so grateful that we aren’t throwing caution to the wind. It is so difficult to decide how much togetherness is safe right now. For those in our congregation who are tasked with researching safe practices, I’m so grateful for your wisdom and careful consideration of the facts. Certainly our love for one another makes us long to be together, and it’s that same love that makes it imperative that we choose wisely about when and how we come together. Our youth group is praying for the church, the community and our world. Until we are together face to face, we can continue to congregate through our prayers. With much love, Shauna Becker ——————————- | |
