A Pastor’s Perspective
Sunday before last, our outreach chair, Mitsy Martin Davis, shared a thank you note we received from Week of Compassion, thanking our congregation for its generosity and informing us that we were in the top 100 Disciples congregations who give to this special disaster relief fund!
It reminds us of the commitment we make to reaching out beyond our walls and how we affect change as we offer the love Jesus calls us to in the world.
When a disaster happens, Week of Compassion reaches out to regional church representatives to determine need and then responds. Through our giving to this ministry, we have opportunities to help not only those who experience tragedy here in our area, but those who experience hardship throughout the world!
I am thankful that our congregation designates 10% of its budget to outreach. I am also thankful that we reach out with over-and-above gifts spread God’s Love everywhere!

2022 FLOWER CALENDAR – DATES AVAILABLE
The chancel flowers serve a few purposes. It’s a way to honor your loved one, they add to the beauty of the sanctuary, and following the service the bouquets are delivered to two of our shut in members.
Please note, the cost of the flowers will go up beginning in January to $55.00 per week. This is the first price increase in several years.
Thank you for understanding the need for the increase.
