Thank you for all of the donations for the Afghan refugees who are relocating in the metro area! Ira Farley, who works with Catholic Charities, came and picked up sewing machines, irons, boxes of fabric and sewing notions. Ira delivered them to the Okie Fabric Stash in Midwest City. The owner, Rella (a friend of Julie Moler), generously opened her shop to receive them. The shop had all the machines serviced to make sure everything was in good working order and is giving sewing lessons to the women who receive one. Ira was so thankful to FCC MWC for the outpouring of donations.
A very special Thank You to Julie Moler for reaching out to the Okie Fabric Stash shop. The members at FCC MWC don’t just talk about missions, you actively seek out opportunities to serve this community and others where they are. This is one of many things that makes FCC MWC such a wonderful place!

ACOLYTES! As the world continues to open up again, we’ve decided it’s time to start talking about having the Acolytes pick up their torch again. Yes, pun intended. I would like to reach out and ask any parents of K-6 children, if their child would like to serve as an Acolyte. If they have not done this in the past, I am happy to do another round of Acolyte training. If they were an Acolyte before and would like to be one again, GREAT! I’ll be making my way around to check in with parents, but if you know you would like for your child to be part of the group, please call/txt me at 405-818-8098 or just let me know in person.
